Levels of Membership

Organizational Membership

All employees of member organizations enjoy the privileges of membership. Fees are based on the number of employees working at least 30 hours per week.

Memberships run on a calendar year basis but prorating is available. For information on MMPA membership, contact the MMPA offices.

Regular Publisher

An organization that publishes in Minnesota on a regular basis at least once per year; has an average minimum editorial content (non-advertising) of 25%.

  • 1-10 employees: $190/year
  • 11-25 employees: $350/year
  • 26-50 employees: $595/year
  • More than 50 employees: $995/year

Associate Member

People, firms, partnerships or corporations that regularly do business with the publishing industry (vendors).

  • 1-50 employees: $435/year
  • More than 50 employees: $840/year

Affiliate Member

  • Magazine publisher outside Minnesota or other non-magazine publisher: $245/year
  • Journalism School: $415/year

Individual Membership Categories

  • Freelance: $75
  • Professional Educator: $50
  • Student: $25
