Get your work seen by all of MMPA!

You may find it hard to believe, but it’s almost time to pick the first big winner of the 2016 MMPA Excellence Awards. The design contest is underway, and that means we’re looking for someone to dazzle the awards committee with his or her style and creativity.

This is your chance to demonstrate your skills and see your design on the cover of this year’s awards booklet. Each year, MMPA challenges its membership to design the official poster for the event. The winning entry is used to promote the Excellence Awards throughout the year—online, in print, and in front of the Minnesota magazine community.

The winning designer will be recognized at the gala on November 10, 2016, with a crystal award. Get your work seen by MMPA’s entire membership!

Entries should follow these specifications:

Size: 8.5 inches x 11 inches

Color: Should be full-color. If your design wins, it will serve as the basis for all other marketing materials, so designs that include an entire palette of colors will be given extra consideration.

Copy (must include all of the following—but you may choose to add more):

  • Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association
  • 20th annual Minnesota Publishing Excellence Awards
  • November 10, 2016
  • Aria, Minneapolis, MN
  • CALL FOR ENTRIES

Art: Must include a copy of the MMPA logo—either in color, black and white, or reversed. Logo files are here

Deadline:
All entries must be submitted as PDFs, and the winner must submit native files. Entries must be emailed to Mary Pat McGlynn at mmcglynn@intrinxec.com and will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 4.

We’ll notify the winner in mid-March. Good luck!
