Ad Fed Magazine Day Event May 8 in Minneapolis

MMPA members can register for member rate

The Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s (Ad Fed) annual Magazine Day “Magazine Media: Changing the Conversation,” takes place on Wednesday, May 8 at Marriott City Center, located at 30 South Seventh Street in downtown Minneapolis and through a special arrangement, MMPA members can register for the Ad Fed member rate.

Mary Berner, president and chief executive of MPA, The Association of Magazine Media, is the keynote speaker. Following Berner’s presentation, Berner will join a panel moderated by Jason DeRusha of WCCO. The panel features Leslie Picard, president of Time Inc. Branded Solutions; Michael Brownstein, executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Meredith Publishing Group and Jayne Haugen Olson, editor of Mpls.St. Paul Magazine.

Magazine Day is created by and for magazine and media industry executives to celebrate the magazine industry, connect ad sellers, buyers, and their clients from all over the upper Midwest. The event displays more than 150 international and local magazines and features an all-you-can-grab magazine display room.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with doors opening at 11 a.m. The legendary all-you can-grab free magazine frenzy begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a sit-down luncheon at 11:45 a.m. and the panel discussion at noon.To register in advance, contact the Ad Fed office at 651-290-6260, or visit The cost is $55 for Ad Fed members, $75 for non-members and $550 for a table of ten.
