MagazineRadar Launches Sales Research Tool

In January, MagazineRadar launched  “Perfect Pitch,” a new benefit for subscribers to its web-based ad sales information service.

Based on the company’s database of ad-buying history in the publishing market, Perfect Pitch employs an algorithm to provide the buying patterns for a given brand, including recommendations for when to pitch, what to offer and how much to charge.

The research tool can also provide information on past ads, such as average positioning. According to the company, the service arose from years of focus group experience with sales executives, learning what information was most valuable to them.

However, the company’s CEO, Todd Krizelman was quick to point out, “You still have to do the selling.” A sample of MagazineRadar’s research capability is available on the MMPA home page.
