Online registration extended to Oct. 31.
Okay, procrastinators: It’s time to get out the company credit card and secure your seat at the Minnesota publishing industry’s premier awards event.
The MMPA Excellence Awards gala is just eight days away—but fortunately for you, there’s still time to register. The deadline for online registration has been extended to Monday, October 31.
So, what will you be missing out on if you don’t sign up, you ask? For starters, some mouth-watering food—including a “smashed-tini” bar serving up mashed potatoes in martini glasses with your choice of toppings, like beef stroganoff, bacon bits, and cheddar cheese. A “bitty burger bar” also will have you going back for seconds. And don’t even get us started on the dessert table, where tartlets, mini cakes, and cookies will abound.
If that’s not reason enough to drop what you’re doing and book a whole table, how about this: You’ll have the chance to win some unbelievable items. Among them—a $500 resort stay in northern Minnesota, a pair of Diamond Box Twins tickets (third row at first base), dinner around the world for two (without actually having to leave the Twin Cities), and a gift card for prescription sunglasses at Maui Jim.
Need yet another reason to attend? How about the possibility of getting to go on stage and collect some awards? With Jason Matheson of Fox 9 as emcee, the gala will celebrate and reward the publishing industry’s best examples of print, digital, and design over the past year—and dozens of awards will be distributed.
C’mon, with all your hard work, you deserve a break. Get your ticket so you can head on over to the Nicollet Island Pavilion after work next Thursday, November 3, where you’ll grab some food and a drink from the bar and mingle with publishing industry colleagues as you bid on those must-have silent auction items. Then to finish off the night, you’ll be wowed and inspired many times over as the main event unfolds.
Clearly by now, you’re ready to reserve your spot—so we’ll see you at the gala!
